Cool thing we did this past weekend: The arts staff at the Daily is trying to incorporate audio and visual elements in the paper not often seen in our web content. With that, we decided to make our test run a conversation between four dudes on staff about the Oscars, and how we felt about the predictions.
Participants included:
Dave Watnick, Managing Arts Editor
Josh Bayer, Daily Music Editor
Andrew Lapin, Daily Film Editor
and me, Blake Goble, Daily Film Columnist
For 15 surprisingly fun minutes, we talked:
- Best Picture
- "Dark Knight" snubbery
- "Wall-E" the stupid robot
- Harvey WEINSTEIN!
- Best Actors
- Best Actresses
- And why I'm a snob for having seen all the movies
Check it out, it's worth a listen to either make fun of us, or join the conversation by leaving comments. Like I said, we're the poor man's NPR.
