Fine Frugal Film: "Black Orpheus"

Note: The best part about being part of the so-called "techno baby" generation? The free content you can find online.

Now, with that, I must say, I don't condone (publicly) music downloading, torrents and all that pirated crap. For me, the best way to experience art is through theaters, galleries and of course, car stereos. But, that doesn't mean you can't find good stuff online, in decent quality.

Yes, it's studio and company sponsored. But to be able to engage in genuine articles, in exchange for a few Chili's ads and/or a weird movie trailer? Sign me up! That's why I'm glad to bring you Fine Frugal Films (tell me if that name's too stoopid). There are cool, classic and captivating works to be seen. Free of admission of course. Well, the ads aren't free ... whatever. Beats the hell outta camcorders and coughing.

"Black Orpheus" by Camus.
Janus Films. 1959.

Why the hell wouldn't you want to watch a film that won the Palme d'Or ar Cannes? And come on people! This is only the best update of Orpheus with Bossa Nova beats set during Rio De Janero on the planet!

No I am not being a spaz.

Dude, this movie's awesome. And join the Auteurs. It's like Facebook for sexy cinephiles like myself.
