Available on Wes Anderson Soundtracks.

I try not getting ravenous about movies before they come out, as it always leads to disappointment. I learned this valuable lesson in May 1999, with budding development of taste mixed with the salivated screening of "Phantom Menace." Same with every comic book and sequel. Don't anticipate or participate in the film's release. Just see it when it comes around.

But, I hate to say, I REALLY want to see Wes Anderson's "Fantastic Mr. Fox." Along with "Antichrist" and "Hangover," it's among the more interesting looking films of '09 — to me, at least. "Hangover" already kinda disappointed thanks to NY Times teasers and the trailer. Still entertatining though.

Anyways, without getting too worked up on "Mr. Fox," I'll say the following:
- I love and grew up with Roald Dahl. Not Maurice Sendak.
- I have the utmost respect and appreciation for Wes Anderson, even when he falters. "Rushmore's" an all time favorite.
- The animation doesn't necessarily look innovative, just amazingly creative.
- The trailers on Apple both looked promising.
- So did the featurettes.
- And I know this is already too much anticipation, but, the soundtrack sounds awesome.

As with all Anderson films, "Mr. Fox" is gonna sport a jaunty jukebox of great tunes to back Anderson's  vision. Last month, Slashfilm listed the music that's going to be included, and it looks most interesting. Georges Delerue, Beach Boys, Rolling Stones, Burl Ives and the indelible composer Alexandre Desplat? Sounds good:
