"Motel Hell" Vault - Michigan Daily

An oldie but a goodie.

I don't know how I ever caught wind of this movie. Maybe it was strange jokes from my Dad about going to "Motel Hell," or seeing snippets of the movie on "Svengoolie," the Chicago horror movie host. I can't validate either resource. But when I finally snagged it on DVD — at a respectable age for these sorts of things — I was hooked.

Not by Farmer Vincent's chainsaw. Fortunately.

Forget "American Werewolf." I'll argue this as the great horror-comedy of the 1980's. If that's something worth arguing...

It's people! Erm.
