
2.4's and 3.3's ought to only be reserved for 80's horror or disgusting movies. Not generics.
Sure, his stories are wildly uneven, his direction is lazy and his actors are all too game to help him without trying. But in his defense, Perry still is learning. And there's nothing wrong with wholesome. That's what made "Meet the Browns" tolerable.
Angela Bassett is alright here. The story reflects positive, beneficial values. And Perry directs like a man on a visible path, not someone taking constant turns.
In short, last year's "Meet the Browns" wasn't that bad. CLICK HERE to read my review.
Oh, and it beat the hell outta "Madea Goes to Jail."
