Post Stuff: "Music from the Films of Francois Truffaut by Georges Delerue"

Here's my deal — musically.

I laugh, yet guiltily enjoy some kinds of metal. No country/western. I dig certain kinds of hip-hop and rock. I don't classical either. Wagner's a shameful O.G.

But, my taste in music heavily favors Jazz (not a snob), Electronic (not clubby shit), and film scores, or uh, Soundtracks (shut up). Without getting into to broad strokes, I really love soundtracks, specifically scores. They tend to ignite productivity when absorbed, and don't burden me with the difficulty of making out lyrics. No, I do not have acne or have a hard-on for music school geeks. Movie scores are easier for me. I'm one of 33 people that care about best original score at the Oscars. I've never been able to understand lyrics. That explains the choice genres...

With that, I felt compelled to share. I found a splendid compilation of  Georges Delerue music from Francois Truffaut films, like "Jules & Jim," "Shoot the Piano Player" and my favorite, "Day for Night." Classical, beautiful, and still evocatively tasteful, I don't care if some thug punches me for this. I really like this kind of sound. You know. Pianos and strings.
